It's April 1st, 2024, and the eclipse is closing in fast.

Professor Emberblade, his mechanic Rangertech, and their human friend, Whiteflower are in space over planet Haven to observe the rebinding reaction.
This reaction was a product of Ember's seemingly genius but controversial metaphysical theories, the burning ambition of a pair of identical twins, and
the incredible, perhaps even divine power that comes from the umbra of a once-in-a-lifetime total solar eclipse.
The goal of the reaction was simple: transplant the younger twin's soul into another body.

But, as it turns out, removing the soul from the body, the only thing binds it to this world, was not a good idea.
Ember watched helplessly as the pent-up energy of the younger twin's soul exploded outward in a blinding flash and caused a change reaction that blanketed the whole planet in
dysphoric radiation, a poison that directly attacks the soul. Anyone not in space or otherwise suspended in a vacuum was killed instantly in the initial wave.

But this was only one of the grave miscalculations Ember made. He was so sure that this reaction would produce the desired result that he sent his own identical sons
to the human planet, Earth, to perform the same reaction under the umbra of an even more powerful solar eclipse that would take place one week after the Havenian eclipse.
And with the communication network conveniently destroyed in the blast, Ember and his companions have to
venture to Earth themselves to find and warn the Ember Twins before they unwittingly annihilate Earth.
